U.S. Army War College

The U.S. Army War College prepares selected military, civilian, and international leaders for the responsibilities of strategic leadership in a joint, interagency, intergovernmental and multinational environment. The U.S. Army War College - the college and its associated institutes - operate as a synergistic team in support of Army War College students and alumni: all those serving as strategic leaders for our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.

Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management (DISAM)

The Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management (DISAM) conducts a series of instructional programs designed to enhance security assistance management capabilities of DOD military and civilian personnel assigned to CONUS and overseas security assistance activities, purchaser country representatives, and defense industry personnel. DISAM operates under the overall guidance and direction of the Director, Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

DISAM currently offers fifteen separate resident courses. These courses are SAM-C (CONUS), SAM-CF (Financial Management), SAM-CM (Program/Case Management), SAM-I (International Purchaser), SAM-IT (International Training Management), SAM-IF (International Financial Management) , SAM-IL (International Logistics Management), SCM-O (Overseas), SAM-TO (Training Officer), SAM-CS (Logistics Customer Support), SAM-CR (Case Reconciliation), SAM-TA (Training Automation Workshop), SAM-AT (Advanced Training), IPSR (International Programs Security Requirements) and and SAM-AR (Advanced Resource Management Seminar) and MTCR (Missile Technology Control Regime). Varying in length from 2 days through three weeks, each course is offered a number of times annually. The curriculum is designed to provide the highest quality education and tailored to meet student specific needs at all levels of security assistance management.

Prospective military and civilian students within the Department of Defense should contact their education and training officers for assistance in applying for DISAM attendance. The Defense Management Education and Training Catalog, DoD 5010.16-C, procedures apply. Personnel from other federal governmental organizations should coordinate their applications through their respective agencies. On-line registration forms for industry personnel. Naval Post-Graduate School: Center for Civil Military Relations

Established at NPS in 1994, the Center for Civil–Military Relations (CCMR) provides graduate level education to foreign civilian and military participants through resident and nonresident courses. Its programs assist foreign nations in resolving civil–military issues resulting from defense transformation, stability and support operations, combating terrorism, and other security challenges.

U.S. Naval War College: U.S. Navy College of Naval Command and Staff

College of Naval Command and Staff students pursue studies in each of the Naval War College's three core subject areas in the following order of presentation: Strategy and Policy, Joint Maritime Operations, and National Security Decision Making. While this basic curriculum is essentially the same as that of the more senior students enrolled in the College of Naval Warfare, individual courses are tailored to the experience level and career needs of the College of Naval Command and Staffs mid-grade officers.

The College of Naval Command and Staff is a multidisciplinary program designed for U.S. Naval and Coast Guard officers in the grade of lieutenant commander, U.S. Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force officers in the grade of major, and civilians of equivalent seniority from various Federal agencies. This intermediate level service college course provides an initial opportunity for professional military education wherein students prepare for increased responsibilities as commanders/lieutenant colonels and as junior captains/colonels.

U.S. Naval War College: U.S. Navy College of Naval Warfare

College of Naval Warfare students pursue studies in each of the Naval War College's three core subject areas in the following order of presentation: National Security Decision Making, Policy and Strategy, and joint Military Operations. During the first two of these trimesters, College of Naval Warfare students will be joined in lectures and in seminars by international students of the Naval Command College. Each College of Naval Warfare student is also required to enroll in one Elective Program course of his or her choice per trimester.

US Joint Forces Command: Special Operations Command

Special Operations Command, US Joint Forces Command, is a training command focused on improving the integration between special operations forces (SOF) and General Purpose Forces. SOCJFCOM assists Commander, US Special Operations Command Joint SOF Training responsibilities through its Joint Special Operations Task Force (JSOTF) training charter and program.  The unit also supports USJFCOMs training, integration, and lessons-learned programs.
